Toluva separates engine evidence from publishable media so it does not imply rights or provenance it has not established.
The example project's source
The example project's immutable source uses the macOS Samantha system voice as clearly labelled development narration. It exists to exercise segmentation, translation, timing QA and composition — it is not entrant-owned voice media.
That audio is never served
Public requests for the source audio return source_audio_withheld. What is
served instead is judge-source-muted.mp4, an H.264 video-only derivative
with SHA-256 a5c45de2…cc86fb7f. The original master stays private B2
evidence.
This is why the source preview in the workspace is silent and labelled Audio withheld rather than simply muted in the player.

The app describes this as a disclosed stock synthetic voice — not a clone of the English development narrator. The distinction matters and the interface keeps it.
The timing-correction archive
The two German timing-attempt audio objects were generated through ElevenLabs and Genblaze for Toluva. They are served only as evidence of the measured correction workflow, with their canonical manifest hashes, stored-byte hashes and parent/child relationship displayed alongside.
If you upload your own clip
The source-rights confirmation is the mechanism, but it is an assertion by you rather than something Toluva can verify.
What you are asserting
That you hold the rights to the footage and any voice in it, and that creating a synthetic localized edition from it is permitted. Toluva records the assertion; it cannot check it.
If a run later uses a hero source featuring a real person or voice, retain the source file, the permission record, allowed uses and languages, the approver, the validity window, and the evidence SHA-256 before publishing it.

Source code is available under the MIT License. Media, model outputs, provider services and third-party dependencies remain subject to their own terms.
